Compact multifunctional tooling for industrial optical heads doing welding, cladding or heat treatment. It does five jobs at once — protects the head's optics from spatter and fumes, feeds the filler wire and adjusts its position relative to the beam, supplies shielding gas to the processing zone, tracks the joint or the surface with the 2-D scanner supplied, and distributes coolant to the water-cooled elements. A safe break-away system protects the tooling and the head if the attachment is struck, which on an automated cell is the difference between a stoppage and a repair. Fully compatible with FLW D50 heads.
